Curious about how good software is put together.

I'm Orestis Georgiou, a Computer Science student at RWTH Aachen University in Germany.

I'm particularly interested in software engineering, artificial intelligence, and software architecture. I enjoy understanding how complex systems work, solving technical problems, and building software that is reliable, efficient, and thoughtfully designed.

I'm continuously expanding my technical knowledge through university studies and hands-on development, with the goal of pursuing a career in software engineering.

Embedded Operating System for ATmega644

01 · Winter Semester 2024/25

RWTH Aachen University

Developed an embedded operating system in C for the ATmega644 microcontroller as part of a two-person team. Implemented interrupt-driven context switching, process management, CPU scheduling algorithms, critical sections, and dynamic memory management for internal and external SRAM. Integrated hardware peripherals and demonstrated the system using an interactive Snake application.

Decentralized Fitness Data Platform

02 · Winter Semester 2025/26

RWTH Aachen University

Developed frontend functionality for a decentralized fitness-tracking application using React and Solid Pods. Implemented dashboard and recent-activity views and integrated RDF/Turtle activity data stored in users' Solid Pods. Collaborated with teammates using a GitLab feature-branch workflow.
